mind my arrow passing through time
splitting in fairness what i feel inside
if i find i have the urge to shelve myself
for what's familiar and makes you smile
we're all afraid to walk beside what's strange
and further alienating me is what's strange to you
now occupies my mind

working daily in a laboratory
obsessed with ultimate alchemy
transforming dreams into working schemes
but to share them's like spreading disease
we all complain on sunny days
when a stranger's cloud starts spewing rain
and shivering wet convinced that
we opened our window for this
and we all blow off potential friends
at the moment when we'd be meeting them
too busy wondering why aren't they looking for me

the first note i sing angels swarm to me
riding pulsing waves of distant galaxies
the universe is abuzz with life
though i am alone when i open my eyes
we're all content with how we spend
our waking dream, our best attempt
is never as pathetic as it seems to them
and we can see our journeying
summed up in another's sentiments
but would life blush if we sang our own song to it
